Deatherage adds: “One of the real
strengths of MacForce is that they’re a
one-stop shop — which Fred Meyer would have
been proud of.”
MacForce provided MMT with reliable web
hosting, which had been a trial for the
foundation, as well as new computers,
accessories, software and peripherals, plus
ongoing maintenance, service, training and
more. MMT has benefited from OS X training,
Microsoft Office training and other
specialized software training, finding all
MacForce’s trainers/instructors top notch.

“I had training in InDesign and Final Cut
Pro,” says Deatherage, “and even received
MacForce assistance with getting videos we
made live on our site, and also transferring
these videos to DVD.”
When MMT moved into its current Pearl
District location, MacForce lent support in
numerous ways. “MacForce was amazing,”
O’Leary recalls. “Not only did they come in
and get all our computers set up, they
helped us move from OS 9 to OS X, even did
our low-voltage wiring — which also shows
their versatility.”

MMT’s staff was sent to MacForce for
hands-on OS X training while MacForce’s
skilled engineers and technicians were
onsite at the new location installing
computers, printers and software. When the
staff showed up for work at its new location
that Monday, everything was perfectly in
place and they knew how to use all their new
devices and programs.

“MacForce is like a pseudo-staff
member,” O’Leary relates. “That’s the way I
think of them, because I can call them for
anything.” |
